Today was a BIG day. Xena woke up early, her fluffy tail wagging like crazy...
...but her tummy had butterflies. 🦋

She packed her favorite chewy bone in her backpack and stood at the door.
"I'm ready!" she said to herself. But inside... she wasn't so sure. 😬

The school was HUGE. There were big dogs, small dogs, spotty dogs, and fluffy dogs.
So many new faces. Xena felt her paws go wobbly. 🐾

Xena sat down all by herself.
"What if nobody wants to be my friend?" she thought. Her ears drooped. Her tail stopped wagging. 😞

Then — a small golden puppy trotted over, tail wagging.
"Hi! I'm Biscuit! Want to share my snacks?"
Xena stared. Then her tail started wagging too. 🐕

They played together ALL DAY! At recess, they raced around the yard. At lunch, they shared treats.
By the bell, they were best friends. 🎉

That night, Xena snuggled into her cozy bed with a happy heart. Being brave enough to say hello had made everything wonderful.
